In this class we will discuss the importance of etiquette, basic table manner and settings, the art of conversation, and the art of listening. An afternoon tea will conclude the semester that will give the students an opportunity to use the skills they've obtained throughout course. I will be using the following textbook for reference: Biology: A Search for Order in Complexity 2nd edition. However, a textbook is not required for this course. **This is a continuation of the Fall Semester Biology class. The Fall Semester Biology class, however, is not a prerequisite for this course, and we will accept new students. Love wildlife? Then this class is for you! This class is a hands-on field and laboratory experience. We will practice sampling and measuring techniques as well as discuss animal behavior. So, whether you are interested in working with wildlife or preparing yourself for a future pet, this class will be a fun way to familiarize yourself academically with what it takes to manage wildlife. With over 9000 species, birds are some of the most unique animals in the world. In this course, we will discuss interesting facts about birds while analyzing physical and behavioral characteristics that differentiate birds from other animal species. We will also incorporate laboratory procedures and field study techniques while conducting research on local bird species.
